Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 will release this Monday, September 3rd, and for many the tape will either re-establish Wayne as a definitive voice in hip-hop, or push him further out of the limelight. Hosted by DJ Drama, Wayne explains that the tape is being pushed back so Drama could “properly set it up.” The video above shows Wayne holding a copy of the tape, stating, “My job is done. just letting y’all know.”
The video also previews a remix to 2 Chainz “No Lie” where Wayne spits, “I am sippin on that lean/Don’t bring me no bottles ho/I make it rain so hard, flowers grow, hollygrove.” Decent wordplay. He continues “Nigga, I fuck that bitch that with her/and she send me naked pictures/if I were you I wouldn’t kiss her.” It sounds nice, but I’m not seeing any of the groundbreaking wordplay I love from wayne.
